In 2003, I got my degree in English literature from Sophia University. I hope I can help you out by teaching English, Japanese, and penmanship (Japanese and cursive).

English

Do you think that you won’t be able to have good English pronunciation unless you study abroad in an English speaking country? That’s not true at all! I’ve never stayed in an English speaking country for anything other than travel and I was still able to pick up near native pronunciation.

I started listening to English courses on the radio early on in elementary school, began studying English on my own, and picked up the rhythm of the language. When I was in middle school, I was chosen as my school’s representative for an English speech contest and that's when I learned pronunciation from a teacher from Canada.

Additionally, I wanted to talk to people from all over the world so I went to international exchange events and picked up natural English by meeting all sorts of people and making new friends.

English isn’t hard. It’s only hard because you think it’s hard. You can learn to speak even if you don’t know that much vocabulary and you can learn “English-like pronunciation” even if you don’t memorize all of the phonetic symbols.

I will show you the shortcut to improving your English!

Penmanship

I learned calligraphy from the beginning of elementary school up until the end of middle school, that's 9 years! Every year I entered exhibitions and competitions as a school representative and have had countless opportunities to win awards. When I was working at a company, I was in charge of addressing everything for all the ceremonial occasions.

Whether in English or in Japanese, the trick to writing beautiful letters is not to hesitate when drawing the lines! Practice makes perfect so let's practice together!

I'm looking forward to meeting you☆
