A Clash of Cultures

Be polite.

Be real.

When East meets West there is sometimes a clash between the expectation of politeness and the need to be accurate, honest and authentic.
It can be very difficult to be be both polite and real at the same time and the different cultures attach a different degree of importance to these two qualities.

The best we can do is to stay aware of the different expectations.
