My "Designing Women" Appearance on TV!

Aug 20, 2018

Hello Cafetalk Community!
I hope you had a very nice Obon Festival vacation! I hear it's cooling down a little bit and I'm glad to hear the weather is becoming a little more comfortable. Autumn is coming soon but I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
Today, I wanted to show you my appearance on an American TV Show called "Designing Women." The show ran for seven seasons in the US. I think you will find the clip from the show quite hilarious! At the same time, I don't want you to think I'm really like that in real life. It's called "acting!" I don't want you to think I teach English with a rude and crude attitude like the one shown in the clip. ;)
Having said that, I know that if you've already taken my English lessons, you know I am a gentle, friendly, and caring tutor! I have been at Cafetalk almost a year and I've already taught almost 1,000 lessons. I'm glad I can be so passionate about my newfound career as an English teacher. If you didn't already know I was a professional actress in Hollywood for a couple of decades and accumulated over 50 TV shows credits. If you're so inclined, please take a look at my YouTube Channel for all of my other performances on US TV shows and films.

In addition, I want to show you the various methods I use to teach English. Each lesson is focused on various English-learning skills including speaking, listening, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and American Idioms.
[The lessons I offer:]
[Lessons:]
1. "Picto Chat" - (prompts the students to speak in full sentences while describing the contents of illustrations; good for speaking skills)
2. "Random Questions Challenge" - (prompts the student to practice speaking, listening, and comprehension skills)
3. "Breaking News Article Reading" - (improves reading, speaking, and comprehension by learning new vocabulary)
4. "American Idioms" - (specifically aimed at teaching you many "American Idioms," mostly listening for the student)
5. "Listening" Exercises - (to test and improve your listening skills; I will read a conversation and you answer some questions)
6. "Grammar" Lesson - (aimed to improve your weaknesses in grammar that is hindering your English-speaking skills)
7. "Brain Teaser" Quizzes - (they are custom-made quizzes that include a combination of reading, listening, speaking, pronunciation exercises and riddles in a fun way.)
8. "Homework Help" - (aimed to assist you with your homework; improves reading, writing, and comprehension skills)
9. "Manga" English - (aimed to improve your English by filling in the blanks in the format of a manga that serves as a visual aid)
10. "Children's English" - (I teach children using storybooks, talking, songs, and other fun games)
