Hello Dear Students!

I wanted to share a fun video and some pictures from the weekend.  The video and pictures were taken in Colorado.  They are pictures of Elk.  Elk look like deer but they are much larger.  

As my husband and I were driving in the mountains, these elk were on the side of the road eating grass.  They came down the mountain because of the snow and they were looking for something to eat. 

The Native American name for Elk is Wapati which means light colored deer.  The male elk can grow to be 274 centimeters tall.
