I hit a milestone here on Cafetalk this morning, I completed my tenth lesson since joining. It has been something of a steep learning curve for me, as over the past six years or so I have been working a lot with people from Russia, who have very different needs to people in Japan.
Each person I met gives me a little bit more information about how to speak and phrase things, but I still have a long, long way to go with this. If you were to offer a European person advice on how to speak with Japanese people, what would be your key piece of advice?By the by. I know that the thing in the picture is a Trigg point not a milestone. But it was the closest photo I could find of me next to a milestone looking thing. The photo was taken in Portugal last year when I was touring Europe in my little van. Damn was it cold some nights in that thing! -6ºc is not fun I can tell you!
