The Return of the X-Men

2019年8月6日

X-Men have been my jam since I was 8 years old. My brother Francis was a comic nerd who read a lot of comics from the Avengers to Batman. I loved the X-Men out of all the capes because they didn't look for trouble. Instead, trouble looked for them as the government tried to wipe out these mutant heroes. It was the most grounded concept.

The past years have been rough for the X-Men because Marvel tried to replace them with the Inhumans. It didn't luckily didn't pan out. Now, the series is getting a new revolution with a stellar writer. Jonathan Hickman is helming the X-Men and the series looks fantastic. He started last week and I am happy that my favorite characters are back in their prime with House of X and Powers of X. The books have elements of classic X-Men stories as it furthers its themes of evolution and dystopian futures. Now, I can't wait for tomorrow as House of X #2 comes out. Hickman teases it as the most important event in mutant history.

Dear readers, what are your childhood stories that you wish made a comeback or have made a comeback?
