New Year, New Me!
- says the very popular slogan, that inspires many to change their daily habits, to refresh their minds and transform themselves into someone better.
So, just as maybe many of you, I also like to set some new goals for the New Year.
I believe our lives are composed of many different areas, like work, family, health, money, friends, and I could go on and on. It is crucial that we learn to keep the balance between these areas if we want to be mentally and physically healthy. Do not be fooled, it is not an easy task at all, but maybe our promises for the New Year can help us achieve our goals.
I will tell you my top 3 picks for this year and pitch you my plan about keeping them.Health
Just as in last year, this year I would also like to be as healthy as possible. In this case, I mostly refer to a healthy diet and a healthy routine of exercise. Since these days we mostly do sedentary work, our body doesn't need tons of sugar to function properly. On this note I'd like to improve the quality of food I eat by avoiding carbohydrates and sweets. It is going to be a great challenge. In addition, I'd implement some trainings to my daily habit, like doing yoga or going for long walks.Learning
I've always had a passion for languages and since we can never completely master a language, there is always some room for improvement. I try to prepare some falshcards that help me memorize new words, I also watch some TV-shows and read news in order to improve my skills. I promised myself that around the end of this year, I would take several language exams as indicators of my success. Being grateful
I promised myself, that this year, every single morning when I woke up, I would start my day by being grateful for everything I have. Sometimes during our busy lives we forget how much we've already achieved, or how much we've gotten from others. It's great to aim at our goals, but we need to enjoy the things we already have. So I made a daily habit of summarizing all the things I am happy about to help my day be brighter and happier as well.
And I would recommend to all of you to take a look at this notebook called: Year Compass
. It helped me clear my mind and organize my thoughts for the next year. I filled mine in French, but there are many languages to choose from, so you can practice them if you wish.Do you have any resolutions for 2020? I'd be so happy to hear about them.Have a wonderful day and a beautiful year ahead of you!
