 Speaking of club activity, I made a choice quite quicky which club to join in junior high/ high school. I still remember that we had a week to try out different club activities. Since my dad loved music and mom loved art, I was thinking I would belong to one of the clubs like that, but NO! I needed a new experience, a reason why I was born in Japan and studyed English ealier than others, and needed to make a decesion my own.
 In the end of second year, it was time to take turn the leader position, and I became sub-leader. Moving on high school, I had no choice but belonging to tea ceremony club, and I became leader finally. During school life, we had good memories, we learned Japanese culture, but also good manner and courtecy. Now I know why people do this and that, how to care others, and how to wear yukata by myself, etc. For example, you pick up one sweet from bowl with chopsticks coming along, after every single use guests wipe off the chopsticks. Why? Because that shows our care for next guests. It's not every time that we have sweets with the same flavor of  in the bowl, we don't want a piece of leftover from the previous guest and mix the flavor so that we can enjoy the taste as it is. Another example, why do we turn the tea bowl before drinking? The hosts bring you the center of bowl facing right your front. Since we put the bowl back with the center facing the hosts as a manner after drinking, it is rude to show off the trace of your sip on the center of bowl. Thus we have to avoid using the central part to start drinking with but drink from  the side.

 It's been over 10 years since I graduated from high school, unfortunately I didnt have any chance to keep doing that, however, I can say now that it was a good experience and I would definitely choose this way for my future children, as we write sadoh like the way of tea.

 Quand on parle de l'activité du club, j'ai décidé vite auquel club je vais m'inscrire. Je me souviens encore que nous avions une semaine pour essayer les activités differentes. Car mon père aimait la musique, et ma mère aimait l'art, j'ai pensé que je vais m'inscrire à un des clubs comme ça, mais NON!  J'ai beson de nouvelle expérience, de raison pourquoi je suis née au Japon et j'ai appris l'anglais plus tôt que les autres, et je voulais faire une décision moi-même.
 À la fin de second année de collège, c'était le moment de remplacement, et je suis devenue Sous-capitaine. Au lycée, je n'avais pas de choix mais de m'inscrire au club de cérémonie du thé, et finallement je suis devenue le capinaine. Pendant les jours scolaires, nous avont eu de bons souvenirs, apris la culture japonaise, mais à a même temps nous avont apris la manière et la courtoisie. Je suis au courant de la raison pourquoi on fait comme celle-ci et celle-là, comment prendre soin des autres, et comment mettre Yukata moi-même, etc. Par exemple, vous prendrez un gâteau du bol avec des baguettes accompagnées, apès chaque utilisation, nous, des invités doivent essuyer les baguettes. Pourquoi? Parce que c'est la geste de soin pour l'invité(e) suivant(e). Ce n'est pas tout le temps que nous avons les gâteaux en même saveur dans le même bol, nous ne voulont pas un morceau de gâteau de l'invité(e) précédent(e) et le mélanger au nôtre, pour que nous puissont gôuter sans dérange par autre gôut. Un autre exemple, pourquoi nous tounont le bol de thé avant de boir? Les hôtes/hôttesses emportent les bols du thé en montrant son centre à nous. C'est malpoli de montrer le trace d'une gorgée de thé sur le centre de bol quand nous le rendonons montrant son contre aux hôtes/hôttesses comme la manière. Donc nous evitons le centre et buvons par le côté.
  Ça fait plus de 10 ans que j'ai terminé mes études au lycée, malheureusement je n'avais aucune chance de le faire encore, mais je suis sûre que c'était un bon choix, et je vais certainement choisir cette route encore pour mes enfants en avenir, comme nous écrivons Sadoh avec deux lettres japonaises, la route du thé.

　クラブ活動といえば、どの部活に入ろうか決めるのにそう時間はかからなかったように思います。仮入部というお試し期間が1週間あり、いろいろな部活を見て回れました。うちは父が音楽好きで、母は絵画好き、なので私もどちらかの道に進むのかと思いましたが、そうではありませんでした。私は新しい経験がしたかったし、なぜ日本に生まれ他の人より早く英語を学び始めたかの理由が欲しかったし、それに自分で決めたかったのです。
 中学二年の終わりごろ、代替えを迎え副部長になりました。高校でも茶道部一択、最終的には部長にしてもらえました。私たちはたくさんの思い出をつくり、日本文化を学び、そして同時にマナーや礼儀作法も学びました。私は、どうしてこのような、あのような動きをするのか、どのように他人を気遣うか、どうやって一人で浴衣を着るか、等を学びました。例えば、お茶席でお菓子を器からお箸で取るとき、使った後はいつもお箸を拭きます。どうしてでしょうか。それは、次の人への気遣いなのです。同じ器の中にいつも同じ味のお菓子があるとは限らないので、お菓子の味を純粋に楽しむためにも、お箸を通して付いた他の方のお菓子のかけらを一緒に食べてしまいたくはないですよね。もう一例、なぜ私たちはお茶を飲む前にお茶碗を回すでしょうか。お茶会のホストはお茶碗の正面を私たちに向けて出してくれます。飲み終わって返す時も正面をホストへ向けますが、飲み口が正面についていてそれをホストへ見せてしまっては無礼なのです。ですので、正面を避けて飲むのが正しいのです。
　私が高校を卒業して10年以上経っても、残念ながらそれ以来茶道に触れる機会はありませんでしたが、私は良い選択をしたと思っていますし、将来の子どもにも同じ道を選ぶことでしょう、だって茶道とは茶の道と書くのですから。
