I surpassed 6,000 Lessons!

2020年4月9日

Dear Cafetalk Community,

I am very excited to announce that I surpassed 6,000 Lessons! I'm so happy and grateful. I enjoyed meeting you along the way and I appreciate your repeated requests for lessons! The pleasure is all mine to teach English at Cafetalk!

I do my best to accommodate and connect to the English proficiency level for each student. I can understand that sometimes you can't express what you want to say smoothly, or at other times, you may not be able to come up with the right English vocabulary word. I believe you will get better with practice like everything else.

To provide the appropriate lesson for each student, I am helping the students with the following:
  • helping little children speak in full English sentences
  • helping students read an English novel (Great Expectations)
  • get a higher grade in their English examinations
  • proofread and revise their video, blog, journal, email, etc.
  • help students understand the specifics of grammar
  • teach American idioms
  • teach phrasal verbs
  • review and discuss TED Talks videos
  • ask random questions
  • revise picture description chats
  • review and discuss newspaper articles
  • many more lessons

As you can see in the above picture, I had a moment of panic buying toilet paper! Toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, cold medicines, canned goods, and frozen products are flying off the shelves in the grocery stores. I don't know why it is so valuable, but toilet paper seems to be in demand in several countries. I hope you have enough, too!

[Just a word of caution about the coronavirus:]

We should maintain strict social distancing measures (6 ft or 2 meters apart)
Wash our hands and use hand sanitizer (or alcohol)
Don't go out of the home unless you absolutely have to (stay home)
Hydrate often (drinking beverages flushes out your system)
Sleep a lot and eat healthy (so your immune system is working at an optimum level)

I guess the above-information is common knowledge now, but I hope to remind you that we must maintain our vigilance and caution against the deadly virus.

As I started out this post, thank you very much for helping me reach another 1,000 students within a couple of months! I hope you have a wonderful day! Stay safe! Stay inside!

Warmest regards,
Lady Ayame
