Turkish Cuisine: Tas Kebabi

Turkish Braised Lamb or Tas Kebabi is one of our traditional foods in Turkish Cuisine. Ingredients are quite easy to find and the taste makes you enough reach in heaven :) You can eat this meal with your family and your friends with full of joy.

Here are the ingredients:

Ingredients   *For 3 Servings

500 gr boneless stewing lamb

2 tablespoons of Olive Oil

1 medium Onion, finely chopped

1 Garlic clove, finely chopped

1/2 cup of canned tomatoe or 3/4 peeled and chopped tomatoe

1 diced chopped Bell pepper

1 diced chopped Carrot

2 small diced chopped potatoes

1/4 cup of chopped parsley

Salt

Pepper

Red chilly pepper-optional,while serving is OK.

Oregano

How To Cook?

1.Trim and cut the meat into 2cm cubes.

2.Heat the half amount of olive oil in heavy pot and brown the meat quickly on each side.Transfer it to a plate.

3. Add remaining olive oil,onion,bell pepper and garlic at the same pot. Fry gently until the onion gets transparent.

4. Add tomatoe,potatoe,carrot and water. Return lamb into the pot. Simmer gently about 25 min. -Until carrots and potatoes are well cooked and sauce is thickened. Arrange the taste by adding salt,pepper and oregano.

5. Before you serve, cook Pilaf which is cooked in a seasoned broth or butter.

6. Add your meal next to or onto pilaf and lastly add some chopped parsley to serve.
