Weekly Topic: What was your favorite subject to study in primary school?

The subject I loved the most in the elementary school was music I guess...although I don't remember that much. But I still remember that was excited to meet new songs, instruments etc. One time a trainee teacher came to teach us, and she made a set of quiz. I still remember fill-in-the-blank one, "People are insensible to {  }, and sensible to {  }." The answer is, "People are insensible to {the noise they make their own}, and sensible to {the noise others make}." I felt so right about this at the age of 10. Since then I think about sounds logically, such as how my voice sounds to others, etc. And now I still think that this is not only about the noise, but also about pronunciation in English or any other language. It is not easy to figure out by myself how far I am from the real pronunciation when I speak. Thus I need someone to listen to me. And luckily some said, such as customers in the hotel and the airport where I was working, like "Are you Japanese?","Have you lived in the U.S./France?" This is one of the compliments I've got and they gave me a certain type of feeling that what I have learned was not wrong. I hope you will have the same feeling one day and feel the joy when you speak and communicate with people all around the world!
