Today, i would like to talk about a popular English Idiom phrase, 'On the House'.
On the house means v ( of a drink or meal in a bar or restaurant) at the management's expense; free.
We generally use free, free of charge or at no cost in daily life.
Here are some examples using 'On the house':
* During the meal, chef may send out one or two little taste treats for diners to enjoy on the house.
* We are invited by the hotel to a special, celebratory buffet- on the house
* The bartender brought the couple drinks on the house.
* Is it on the house?
