こんにちは！カフェトーク英語講師のAriです。

今日は金曜日。週も後半になってくると、だんだん気持ちも緩み、注意散漫になりがちですよね。

そんな時に自分に言い聞かせてあげると効果大なのが「集中！」という言葉。

英語では、concentrate （集中する）です。
「～に集中する」は　concentrate on ～ となります。

Let's concentrate on work / studies. 仕事/勉強に集中しよう！

その他にも、focus on ～ も使えます。

こちらは、～に焦点を合わせる ～に重点的に取り組む、という意味もあるため、例えば会議などで話が脱線してしまった時などに、

We are getting off topic now. Let's focus on the main issue.
今話が脱線しつつあります。主な問題に集中しましょう。

と使うこともできます。
