2020 was a strange and difficult year and 2021 hasn't started off very well. After a lot of optimism about coronavirus vaccines etc my year has started off with cancelled trips, more infections in our local area, a very quiet holiday period when I didn't see my friends, political unrest in the USA and this weekend, severe weather in Spain.
At times like this it is important to remember the old saying "every cloud has a silver lining" which means that every bad situation also contains the possibility of a better outcome in the end. So, my goal for this year is to stay optimistic, not give in to worry and pessimism and to do what I can to find the silver linings in all those dark clouds!
