It is the beginning of the summer season in Thailand, and mercury is rising. 

The peak of the Thai summer comes in the middle of April. 

I am happy to be back with another installment of Crazy And Funny Facts You Should Know. 

I also hope you are having fun going over previous columns.

Today, I would like us to dive deep into the ocean to discover what is in store. 

The fun fact concerns the Blue Whale. 

Did you know that;

The blue whale is the largest animal on the planet, weighing up to 150 tons and measuring up to 90 feet long. 

It is roughly the size of a small car.

The blue whale’s heart weighs about 1,300 pounds. 

To move blood through its colossal body and arteries, its heart beats so powerfully, you can hear it from two miles away. 

Its heart only beats eight to 10 times per minute.

That is fascinating, isn’t it?

I come from Zimbabwe, a landlocked country, and have never seen a whale. I am currently living in Thailand, a country with a long coastline, and I hope to catch a glimpse of one of these creatures in the future.
