Where are the ovens?

2021年4月22日 | 1 コメント

Hello!

One interesting thing I found about Japan is what I didn't find there: ovens! In America it is very normal for people to have ovens in their home. Baking is a large part of American culture.

Many children come home to fresh baked cookies, make cupcakes for birthdays, and enjoy grandma’s apple pie. We also use the oven in America to cook food like roast beef, turkey, baked potatoes, and everyone’s favorite, lasagna.

There are options for Japanese homes to have ovens but it is rare that they are gas ovens or of the same size as the ones found in the USA. Listen to my very short and easy to follow podcast video for more on what I have to say about ovens.
