A small victory in the garden this week. Until now I've been clearing and maintaining the garden but not adding anything new or interesting. Since the rainy season ended I decided it would be a good time to finally deal with the front entrance of the house.

今週庭での小さな勝利を出来ました。今まで掃除と維持すること以外に庭の状態はまあまあ同じように進んでいた。でもいい天気が戻ったので家の正面玄関を変えることしました。


Here's a picture of how the front part looked before the change. As you can see, there was just a large, barren plot of earth by the side of the walkway.

変える前、写真に見える小道の横に土壌がありました。雰囲気が良くなかった。。。

I knew what kind of stones I wanted, but I couldn't find anything similar at my local home centre. The stones were either too dark or too big or just plain ugly. Finally after going to a bigger home centre a little further away, I managed to find the perfect type of pebble-like stones.

近所のホームセンターに行ったが、僕の欲しい小石を見つからなかった。大きすぎるか醜い小石しかがありませんでした。ところで、もっと遠くのホームセンターにいい小石を見つかった。
