(1)
Did you go to college?
Yes, I did.
なぜ “Have you graduated from university?”

(2)
What did you major in?
I majored in Linguistics.
(3)
What do you do for work?
I do a lot of different things, but I mostly teach English and translate medical documents.
ー“What is your current job?”
理由はシンプルに “What do you do?”

(4)
What’s your dream job?
I’ve always wanted to do something with computers. Maybe a computer programmer?
理想の仕事は “I’ve always wanted to ~~” で言ってみよう!
I’ve always wanted to work in a foreign country.
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss.
I’ve always wanted to do something with children.
なぜ “What is your ideal job?”
“What do you do?”

(5)
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I used to want to be a writer, but I don’t think it’s very realistic anymore.
“I used to 〜〜”で表現しよう!
I used to think that the most important thing about a job is whether you enjoy it or not.
I used to want to be a professional chef until I learned how many hours they have to work.
I used to believe that all jobs were good jobs.
(6)
What’s the most popular job in your country?
I think a lot of people in America want to work in IT because it has a reputation for high pay.
(7)
How has the economy changed since you were a kid?
With the rise of the gig economy, more and more people are working outside of the traditional employer-employee framework. There are more people working from home these days, too.
