Looking back to 2022, Goals I've Achieved and Best Memory

Weekly Topic: Looking back to 2022, what goals did you achieve this year? Also, what is the best memory you have for year 2022?

Lenn

2022 is leaving with bittersweet memories where in reminiscing events that transpired construed to a completion of a divine plan or a fulfillment of a goal by mere happenstance.

It was a cheerful Spring when I decided to go home to the Philippines to spend time with my mother.  Just when I got there, her health started to deteriorate that in a matter of a week she bid goodbye to a life on earth.

It was dark and painful.  Yet that decision to come home to see her and spend time with her materialized and I was able to see, hug and kiss her and took care of her for the last time.

In my saddest days and on the happiest ones,  a tree is always up there.  As if talking, its age and strength give  light and inspiration.

Life keeps moving for different reasons and soon I was facing my bestfriends in New York, a pact we made in College that someday, we would meet again.  It happened!  I then moved to California to fulfill a mission for my family, that was accomplished too.   Before going back to Japan, I had to go back to my country for another goal and although the works for it is ongoing, determination and focused work always bring about what we aim for.

Trees for me do really talk!  They speak of life, of connection of people, of the past and the present, of our goals and dreams in life.

2023 is coming, seeds will soon sprout, seedlings will soon grow into grand trees.  Little goals achieved fulfill big dreams.  Happy New Year!
