What do you look forward to this spring?

Weekly Topic: What do you look forward to this spring?

Naeema Hoosen

I'm writing from South Africa.

We are going into winter so its a different experience for me, however here are some pointers to note.

Spring is a time of refreshment and a feeling of born again, we are leaving winter and the feeling of being stuck and cold, spring brings hope for new beginnings and experiences.

I look forward to spring to feel alive again. It brings warm weather and a general positive feeling of joy and positivity for me.

I will share a Nowriz (Spring festival) celebrated by some Asian countries like Iran, China, Turkey, Syria, Azerbhaijan. I don't celebrate Nowruz in South Africa but I love this!

What is Nowruz and how is the Persian New Year celebrated ...

Nowruz is a celebration that marks the end of an old year and the beginning of a new one and is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox, which usually takes place on March 21. The celebrations last for 13 days, and it's an opportunity to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future.

Also, during Nowruz people make sweet dishes and share with their friends and family.

So, what are your looking forward to Spring ? How do you celebrate Spring?
