DoctorDom

There are a ton of ways to express the feeling of hunger. Why not try and have some fun with the ones below?
  • I'm peckish
Slightly hungry

E.g. "I'm a little peckish. I don't want much, just something small. Perhaps a handful of nuts or some fruit."
  • I fancy a bite to eat
Slightly hungry

E.g. "I fancy a bite to eat; how about grabbing a cup of coffee and a sandwich?"
  • I could have a nibble
Not really that hungry

E.g. "I could have a nibble. Do you have any snacks?"
  • I'm starving
Really hungry.

"After finishing an intense workout at the gym, I was starving. I couldn't wait to get home."
  • I'm Hank Marvin
Really hungry

E.g. "After that long hike, I'm Hank Marvin; can we stop for lunch soon?"
  • I could eat a horse
Extremely hungry

E.g. "After the marathon, I was so exhausted and hungry, I could have eaten a horse."
  • I'm famished
Extremely hungry

E.g. After hiking all day, I finally got back to camp, and now I'm famished. I don't think I've eaten since breakfast.
