Sticky toffee pudding - a British dessert

Sticky toffee pudding is my favourite British dessert, and one of my all time favourite British foods in general. I highly recommend trying it if you visit the UK! You can find it in most pubs, which are where you can find the most traditional British foods.

What does it taste like? Sticky toffee pudding is a moist sponge cake normally filled with raisins, dates, nuts and spices. It is then all covered with yummy toffee sauce. People serve it hot, with either ice-cream, custard or just lots of toffee sauce.

Because it is warm, it is a great dessert for the wintertime when you need warming up. On a chilly winter's day I love sharing a sticky toffee pudding in a cosy pub with some friends. :)
