Are You a Mountain Person or a Beach Person?

Weekly Topic: A trip to the mountains or a vacation at the seaside?

Anamika

You know what? I’ve always thought of myself as a mountain girl because I was born in the country of the Himalayas. I have a deep love and respect for mountains. Every time I see a giant peak, it makes me feel so small yet so amazed and overwhelmed. I’ve never climbed any of these big mountains, but just being around them and looking at them is spectacular. Maybe you’ve seen Himalayas in pictures, but trust me, seeing them in real life is a whole different experience. It's incredible.

But here’s the twist: if you ask me whether I'm a mountain or a beach person, my answer is..."Well, I’m a beach person! "Surprising, right? Even though I adore mountains, they can be physically challenging and a bit intimidating at times. The beach, on the other hand, is pure relaxation. You don’t need to climb or do any heavy sports. The blue water and the calming sound of the waves wash away all my stress. It helps me relax and unwind completely. I love how the beach makes me feel. It's a bit unfortunate that my home country is landlocked, so I don’t have many childhood memories associated with the beach. But I dream of exploring beautiful beaches around the world someday.

So, in a nutshell, I guess I’m a mountain girl by blood and a beach girl by heart. How about you?
