The word 貼心 (tiē xīn) is used in Mandarin Chinese to describe someone who is thoughtful, considerate, or caring. It can be used to describe actions, behaviors, or even people who show deep concern for others and pay attention to their needs and feelings.

 

When to Use 貼心

 
  • Describing a Person:

 

When someone is very caring or thoughtful, especially in a way that shows they understand your needs without being asked.

 

她真是個貼心的朋友  Tā zhēn shì ge tiē xīn de péng yǒu. (She is such a thoughtful friend.)

  • Describing Actions or Behaviors:

 

When an action or gesture is done with care and consideration for others.

 

他為我準備了一頓貼心的晚餐 Tā wèi wǒ zhǔn bèi le yí dùn tiē xīn de wǎn cān ( He prepared a thoughtful dinner for me.)

Describing Gifts or Things:

When a gift or item is chosen with special care, reflecting the giver’s understanding of the recipient's preferences or needs.

這個禮物真貼心 Zhè ge lǐ wù zhēn tiē xīn (This gift is really thoughtful.)
