Living my childhood dream, just in a different way

Weekly Topic: What did you want to become when you were a kid?

Assal

When I was a kid, I always dreamed of becoming a university professor. I didn’t know exactly what that life would look like, but something about teaching, learning, and doing research really excited me. I used to imagine myself in a classroom or a big lecture hall, explaining interesting ideas and having deep conversations with students.

I’ve always loved asking questions and finding answers, and I guess that curiosity led me to dream about a job where learning never stops. The idea of researching topics I’m passionate about, and helping others understand and explore them too, just felt right to me.

Over time, that childhood dream has stayed with me. I may not be working in a traditional university setting, but teaching on platforms like Cafetalk gives me a similar sense of purpose. I get to connect with students from different backgrounds, share what I know, and learn from them too. In many ways, it feels like I’m living that dream, just in a different format.
