Even as a language tutor, I am always learning new words not just in my own language but in the ones I am studying at this time. Just like many of my students, I sometimes feel that I am not up to the task to make a new word or phrase part of my everyday conversation.
I remember being a young adult with a 'Word of the Day' calendar sitting in my home office. Some words were a blessing and others were a challenge. I had- and still do- a very busy life! How can I add all these extra words?
A friend introduced me to the concept of a language buddy. We agreed to have the same set of words and phrases to study. We met up at lunch each day and practiced using our select words and phrases in our conversations.
What a difference it made to me! After a few conversations I felt more and more confident and it showed in other areas of my life. CafeTalk tutors are here to be your language buddy! You will build confidence not just with new language skills but in your overall approach to learning something new.
