They say variety is the spice of life—so let’s make your lunch both exciting and healthy!

Start with a vegetable-packed Moi Moi (steamed bean pudding). It’s as easy as ABC to prepare and gives you the energy to keep going strong, just like a horse. Pair it with steamed veggies or a simple salad for an extra nutritional boost.

Another great option is a small serving of Jollof rice with grilled ( Mackerel or Atlantic Croaker) fish, with a dash of plantain. Don’t bite off more than you can chew—keep your portions moderate and load your plate with colourful veggies like carrots, cabbage, green beans, or steamed spinach topped with onions. It’s a feast for both the eyes and the stomach!

You could also try vegetable soup—whether it’s Ofe Owerre, Edikang Ikong, or Efo Riro—served with pounded yam. Trust me, this combo will make your taste buds dance! Want something lighter? Swap the pounded yam for oat flour, amala (yam flour), eko (maize/cornstarch), unripe plantain, or wheat flour.

Round off your meal with some fresh fruit—pawpaw, watermelon, or oranges—to sweeten the deal and keep you on the sunny side of life.

In the end, eating healthy Nigerian food is no tall order. With delicious, nourishing meals like these, you’ll be fit as a fiddle and ready to take on the world!
