Adapted "stream of consciousness" for learners of English - 10 minute challenge

Weekly Topic: The “10-minute challenge” to try during the Obon/Summer holiday

Tim Ar.

Hi everyone,

This is a short message to share a great 10 minute activity for you.
  • It is called "Stream of consciousness". It's a writing activity.
  • "Stream of consciousness" is when you write what you think. You can write anything at all. The only rule is that you can't stop for 5 or 10 minutes. Just keep writing! (Keep your pen moving on the page all the time!). You can even write "I don't know what to write right now .. so I'm just going to keep thinking and moving my pen ..."
  • The activity helps with creativity and flow. It can be fun and interesting to see what you are thinking! It is great for practicing free flowing English too.
