I wish someone had told me!

Weekly Topic: Recent minor failures and things I learned from them

Here are two things I wish I hadn’t done as a language learner:

 

  1. I focused too much on grammar. I spent a lot of time learning grammar rules instead of practicing speaking. This made me shy and afraid of making mistakes.
  2. I didn’t listen enough. I read a lot, but I didn’t listen to English every day. Because of that, understanding real conversations was difficult for me.
