September Blooms

EnglishKim

September is a time of change in Ontario Canada; the temperatures are cooler, the days shorter, and we move from late summer into autumn. At this time of year migrating birds and insects might be seen feeding in my garden on their way south. Photographing birds and other fast-moving species is challenging, whether they live here year-round or only for a short while. I have more luck with other things in nature, like flowering plants. Flowers blooming in my garden in September include some perennials like the plant in my main photo, Blue vervain, and several others.

Cutleaf coneflower (perennial)

Ironweed (perennial)

Pearly everlasting (perennial)

Obedient plant (perennial)

These are some of the plants that bloomed in my garden in September. What flowers are blooming where you live? Book a lesson with me and we can talk about gardens, plants, hobbies, or whatever you would like to discuss.
