Autumn is a Time of Change - Let's Stay on Track!

Weekly Topic: Motivation tends to drop in autumn - how to stay on track

Ann K

Fall (or Autumn) is in the air.  Every day we draw closer to the Holiday Season and, perhaps, farther from the goals we planned to pursue this year.  As the Holiday Season approaches, we may get caught up in anticipation of family gatherings, parties, celebrations and, of course, Holiday shopping. We may forget our goals - but that would be a mistake.

If you are looking forward to a vacation from work or school during the last weeks of the year, why not use the remaining weeks between now and your vacation for a personal challenge? During the weeks leading up to vacation, why not take small steps every day to achieve your goals?  If you are learning a language, why not read or listen to something in that language for at least five minutes a day during your "challenge" period?  If fitness is your goal, why not exercise at least 10 minutes a day?  The anticipation of your upcoming vacation will keep you motivated during the days and weeks of your "challenge."  Above all, don't give up!

If you would like to learn more about Autumn in an English-speaking region renowned for its beauty, why not try a lesson on Autumn (Fall) traditions?
