Some true information about learning English.

Dean William

Here’s a truth about learning English…

When it comes to learning English, many will say…

1. I need to improve my vocabulary.

2. I need to improve my English grammar.

3. I need to improve my English reading skills.

4. I need to improve my English reading comprehension.

5. I need to improve my English listening skills.

6. I need to improve my English pronunciation.

7. I need to improve my English speaking skills.

8. I need to become more confident in speaking English.

9. I need to become more comfortable with speaking with others in English.

10. I need to practice my English more.

But here’s a few question’s that they aren’t asking themselves…

1. When will I start to do what is needed to get myself to become a better English conversational speaker and communicator?

2. When will I start to make a commitment to myself to make the time that is needed for me to practice my English in a conversational way?

3. When will I start to put in the effort and energy that is needed to get myself to improve my English?

A person can think all that they want about learning English… A person can talk all that they want about learning English…. And, a person can read all that they can about learning English…

But if they aren’t doing anything at all to improve their English, nothing will ever happen…

Many will say that they are looking for someone to teach them English, but are they really looking for someone to teach them English, or are they looking for a naive person to help them to learn English for free without compensating them at all in any type of way…

Those who’s only looking for free English lessons without thanking the person who’s helping them, and or unwilling to give them something in return to show appreciation for what they have done, are those who’s selfish, self centered, and extremely inconsiderately rude and disrespectful.

This is a truth that’s very hard to accept which is as true as anything could ever be.

Note:

Reading a lot of articles is a good thing, but if you are reading them with the wrong pronunciations, you are actually reading them incorrectly.

Listening to native English speakers advices are good, but if you are given bad advices, it can be a bad thing.

Doing what native English speakers suggest that you should do is a good thing, but if you are being given suggestions that’s not very useful and or beneficial, it can be a bad thing.

Whoever it is that you are talking with, whoever it is that you are learning English from, and or whoever it is that’s giving you advices and or suggestions, if they aren’t giving you a truthful answer, if they aren’t correcting you when you make a mistake, and if they aren’t teaching you something that’s beneficial to you when it comes to improving your English in a conversational way, they aren’t someone who you should be listening to and or learning English from.

A true professional English teacher is one who is patient, who is kind, who is honest, who is truthful, who gives correct and accurate answers to the questions that you have about leaning English, who corrects you when you make a mistake, who corrects you when you mispronounce a word and or phrase, who compliments you when you get things right, and who gives you an efficient amount of time to practice your English in a conversational way while encouraging you to not use your native language as much as possible when you are speaking in English.

Anyone who’s not doing these things are those who’s not as professional as how they would like for you to believe.

For those who’s seriously looking for someone to help them with improving their English in a conversational way, who’s seriously looking for someone to help them with their English reading skills, who’s seriously looking for someone to help them with improving their reading comprehension, and who’s seriously looking for someone to help them with improving their English pronunciation, and their English fluency, feel free to request a lesson time with me.
