Ready, Set, Go! New TOEFL Test!

Ms Cathy

Hello Customers!

Did you  know the TOEFL test is changing in 2026?

The good news is, the new version of the test looks quite user-friendly and relevant. In addition to the requirement to understand Academic English,  there is more testing of General English.

Interestingly, the Listening test requires you to understand when people don't quite answer the question directly. For example " Would you like to go to lunch on Wednesday?". The response might be " I will meet you at the new restaurant in the shopping mall on Wednesday". Effectively, this means " Yes", but it is not a direct answer.

Additionally, there are some fun Academic Discussion topic questions on a range of areas such as the environment, social media, and remote learning.

For more tips, and practise with all four skills, book a lesson!
