Daily English Upgrade #024: JP Trap Fix — Plurals that matter (-s)

Mohamed Helmy

That small “-s” changes meaning more than people expect.

Quick rule:

  • singular = general concept / one
  • plural = many / repeated / categories

Common examples:

  • I have a lot of experience. (uncountable)
  • I had many great experiences. (events)

Mini practice (20 seconds):
Choose the natural one:

  1. I have many experience / I have a lot of experience.
  2. That was a good experience / That was a good experiences.
It’s much easier to make this natural when you practice it in real conversation. If you’d like, we can work on it together in a 25-minute lesson (supportive corrections, no pressure).
