How I spent Valentine's Day:
I suppose everyone planned something very romantic with the typical red and white décor and the theme colors of red and white and Valentine-themed food.
I don’t mean to sound cynical, and I respect those who choose this option as I feel there is a time and place for Valentine’s celebrations with all the trimmings.
On the other hand, I attended a Medieval-style festival. It was postponed in December due to weather issues. The new date was chosen, and it just happened to be Valentine’s Day, 14 February.
There were so many activities, like dart throwing and a cos-play competition and delicious food from the food trucks. We drank cool iced drinks and enjoyed a delicious pizza.
There was a new activity called “Bubble house”. It was a dome-shaped enclosure made from thick, transparent plastic and when a person entered you had to grab one balloon from all the balloons flying around inside. After you had left the bubble house, the ballon was popped and inside was a number which matched a prize on the display table. We won many great prizes, including a bento box and a Naruto calendar!
It was such an exciting and tiring day, but one to remember!
