Music blocks noise in my head during studying

Weekly Topic: Study Playlists: Does Music Help You Focus?

Allen A.

While studying, I sometimes play music in the background but not too loud that it gets distracting, but just so the silence does not make my head too noisy while I study.

When I study, I have a hard time focusing on what I read and sometimes would need to read it again and again just to understand it because I either zone out while reading or the thoughts in my head gets stronger and overpowers my concentration. Having music in the background, whether it may be just an instrumental or a playlist of songs that are great to have in the background just so my brain focuses on the music while I also study because I don't know why, but my brain functions well under those conditions and I would most of the time focus better.

Yes, sometimes I get distracted by the music but it also helps me in other ways. I would often remember what I studied based on what part is it in the music when I studied those parts of my materials. I basically get correlations to parts of the music when I read a certain material and it even amazes me why that happens.

In conclusion, music does help me focus and I think I am not alone in that regard.

If music also helps you focus, why don't we talk about it in my conversation lesson. Book a lesson now, I have a discount available and also a trial lesson waiting for you.

I hope to see you!
