A great way to improve your English listening skills is to listen to podcasts.
The BBC offers many resources on its “Learning English” site.
One of the best is a podcast called "Learning English from the News".
Each short episode covers a recent news event and explains the vocabulary used to describe it. They are ideal for learning the latest “buzzwords”.
If you want to be able to discuss the news with native speakers, I recommend checking out this podcast.
Although the topics are complex, the explanations are clear and gentle, making the podcast enjoyable even for low-level learners.
