Disappointing Test Results? Bad News or Good Opportunity?

Weekly Topic: What to do after a bad test result

Ann K

Have you ever been disappointed by test results?  If you see these results as an end, you may be missing an opportunity.

Do you think of disappointing test results as an end or as permanent bad news?  Would you like to find the GOOD news in this situation?  Read on...

The good news in disappointing test results is that you can keep learning.  The next time you are disappointed by test results, think of them as a sign or a guidepost.  They can point you in the direction of what you still neeed to learn.  The good news is that you still can learn, even in the summer and even at the end of the year.

Why not take your "bad" test results and use them for some "good" learning?  You can review and study and learn anytime (even after your class is over).  Instead of feeling disappointed, you should feel hopeful and invigorated.  You have just been shown key areas where you can study, learn, and grow.  Now, all you have to do is keep learning!

The next time you receive bad (or just disappointing) test results, think of them as a guidepost which will show you the path to growth and "good" learning.
