Learn English in 10 days

Fairouz

You have probably watched about a hundred videos about how to learn a certain language in just a few days, even a couple months. Most of them would tell you to bury your head in a textbook for 12 hours a day just to be able to barely hold a conversation by the end of the month.
Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but learning a new language was never achieved by doing textbook exercises, or keeping up a streak on a language learning application on your phone.
Learning a language comes from experiencing it, living the language and submerging yourself in it on a daily basis.
I mean I wish I could travel to France for a year to become fluent, but since that is not possible, I submerge myself in the French language everyday.
'Submerging' yourself in your target language includes tasks such as: watching a documentary, watching a vlog of a person speaking naturally, listening to an audio book, even if you do not understand everything.
This method allows you to become familiar with the language, the vocabulary, the sound of it, and even memorize or pick up word chunks along the way without even realising it.
Trust me, after listening to it for a while you'll find yourself repeating certain words and phrases in your head without even knowing what they are.
And that my friends, is how you learn a language.
