初(chū)级(jí)汉(hàn)语(yǔ)语(yǔ)法(fǎ):你(nǐ)会(huì)表(biǎo)达(dá)概(gài)数(shù)吗(ma)? Beginner Chinese Grammar: Can you express approximate numbers?

zàizhōngwénmenjīngchángshuōzhǔnquèdeshù
In Chinese, we often do not say an exact number,

érshìshuōgàideshù
but an approximate number.


For example:

yàochāoshìmǎipíngguǒ
I’m going to the supermarket to buy a few apples.

dexiǎomāosānsuìduōle
My kitten is a little over three years old.

zhèdeduōdōubāngzhùmenbiǎogàishù
Here, “jǐ” and “duō” can both help us express approximate numbers.


那么nàme我们wǒmen如何rúhé表达biǎodá几个jǐgèshí几个jǐgèshíne?,yòu如何rúhé使shǐyòngduōne

èrshí多个duōgèyuè = èrshí几个jǐgèyuè
more than twenty months

 

sānshíduōkuàiqián = sānshíkuàiqián
more than thirty yuan

 

shíduōrén = shírén
more than eighty people

Grammar rules may look like a lot
