学生時代に好きだった勉強。

みなさん、こんにちは！

日本語教師のKumikittyです。

私が学生時代に大好きだった科目は国語です。

私は親が共働きだったので3歳から保育園に通っていました。

そこで、入園したての3歳の頃に保育園の先生から、日本語の字の読み書きを教えてもらい、自宅にあった、たくさんの本を読むようになりました。

私は一人っ子なので、保育園にいる時は、お友達と遊ぶのですが、家に帰ると1人で暇笑。

だから、3歳ながら自宅では読書に精を出していました。

7歳で小学校に入学した時、教科書を無理なく読んで理解することができて、とても簡単でびっくりしました。

古文はあんまり興味がなくて、全然勉強しなかったので、特に成績が良かったと言う事は無いんですが、現代文は、いつも成績が良かったです。

おそらく、雑誌や新聞も好きだったので、日本語の理解力も伸びて行ったんじゃないかと思います。

誰でも、好きな話題の記事はどんどん読みたくなりますよね。

ですから、日本語を勉強してる皆さんも、まずは、自分の興味のあることが書いてある日本語の文を読んでいくのが、上達には、いいんじゃないかなと思います。

興味のない文章を読むっていうのは、なかなかきついものがありますよね！

私の経験からも、そんな風

に思います。

Hello everyone!

I’m Kumikitty, a Japanese teacher.

My favorite subject when I was a student was Japanese language (kokugo).

Since both of my parents worked full-time, I started attending daycare when I was three years old.

From the time I first enrolled, my daycare teachers taught me how to read and write Japanese. Before long, I began reading the many books we had at home.

I’m an only child, so I played with my friends while I was at daycare, but once I got home, it was just me. I had plenty of free time!

So, even at the age of three, I spent a lot of my time reading books.

When I entered elementary school at the age of seven, I was surprised by how easily I could read and understand the textbooks. Schoolwork felt very easy to me.

To be honest, I wasn’t very interested in classical Japanese, so I hardly studied it. As a result, I wasn’t an outstanding student in that subject. However, I always did well in modern Japanese.

I also enjoyed reading magazines and newspapers, so I think that helped improve my reading comprehension and overall understanding of Japanese.

After all, when we find articles about topics we’re interested in, we naturally want to keep reading, don’t we?

That’s why I recommend that everyone studying Japanese start by reading Japanese texts about subjects that genuinely interest them. I think it’s one of the best ways to improve.

Reading something you’re not interested in can be really tough, can’t it?

Based on my own experience, that’s exactly how I feel.
