I LOVE LEARNING!

Weekly Topic: What I enjoyed learning as a student

Julie Ezell

I love learning new things, improving on things I already know, and most of all comprehending how I learn best.  I absolutely adore studying various languages, but it's the the experience and culture that continue to attract me to it.   Everyday when I teach ESL and French to my students, THEY always teach me something new.  When I myself study languages, I always learn so much about other customs and cultures as well.    Creating those lasting wonderful memories while experiencing new things is truly the ultimate goal for me. For example,  my Japanese friends took me to a serene tea house at Hojokuji Bamboo Forest.  Learning Japanese language and gaining cultural insight as I drank tea looking out over the calm bamboo swaying softly in the wind is a memory that will reside in my memory forever and ever.
