Summer Horror, Ghost Stories, and Scary Tales

JonkerI

I Never Thought I'd Create a Scary Lesson...

When CafeTalk announced their Summer Horror, Ghost Stories, and Scary Tales lesson campaign, my first instinct was to run for the hills!

I'll admit it... I'm not usually someone who enjoys being scared. You'll normally find me watching a feel-good movie rather than hiding behind a pillow during a horror film.

But this challenge was simply too good to pass up.

Then I realized something...

As the creator of the story, I'm the one in control. I'm not the person nervously wondering what's hiding in the shadows. I'm the one creating the mystery.

So I wrote a story that isn't about jump scares or monsters.

It's about curiosity.

A train arrives every Friday.

Nobody gets off.

Nobody gets on.

Except...

One little girl waves at someone.

Who is she waving to?

That's the mystery we'll solve together.

This lesson is designed to help you practise your English through prediction, discussion, critical thinking, and storytelling as we uncover the clues hidden throughout the story.

If you enjoy mysteries, love solving puzzles, or simply want an English lesson that's a little different, I'd love for you to join me.

Come aboard...

Let's solve the mystery once and for all.
