How I kept learning English when my free time was limited.

Emiko S

When my daughters were little, my free time was shorter than now. I was swamped with taking care of them throughout the day. So, I separated my study routines into a day. I recorded myself speaking for a few minutes while my older daughter was at kindergarten and my younger one was sleeping. I learned three to five new words after I picked my older daughter up.

The next challenge came when they didn’t need to nap during the day. So, I shifted the former routines into co-learning methods. For example, I read more children’s picture books in English for them and I talked to them in English. The most challenging part was I tried to explain anything that I could see in English.

I struggled with finding English time and got stressed out by not seeing my progress. It took me nearly 6 months to build solid foundations of English. The reason I could continue to do it was because I decided to become fluent in English and stuck to the routines even when the time was short and felt discouraged many times.

If you have the same struggle with me, please ask me for advice on your study routines.Because, I adjusted my study schedules and adapted different learning approaches as my life stages moved.

I'd like to help you with redesignning your current study routines and building new ones that fit your life.
Perhaps what you need is fiding a sustainable method to adapt your current life.
