Master the Art of Small Talk Before the End of the Year!

Samantha A . H

Hello everyone! I'm Samantha, a conversaional English tutor here on Cafetalk.

Cafetalk's weekly topics is "Things I want to learn before the end of the year."
If you are learnign English, a fantastic goal to achieve before the year ends is mastering the art   of simple, natural small talk!

When chatting with native speakers, keeping the conversation going smoothly can feel tricky.
If you want to improve this skill before the is over, here are two quick conversation boosters you   can start using today:
 1. Ask "Open-Ended" Questions
Instead of asking questions that only requires a "Yes oe No" answer, ask questions that require
 a short story.
Instead of "Did you have a good weekend?"
. Try: "What did you get up to over the weekend?"

 2. Use Active Listening Phrases
Show the speaker you are engaging by adding friendly expressions instead of just nodding
   silently:
. " Oh, wow, that sounds like fun!"
. " Really? Tell me more!"
   " That makes total sense."

 Lets Reach Your Goals Together!
What English skills do you want to learn before the end of the year? Whether you want to talk   comfortably about your hobbies, travel plans, or daily life, I an here to help you practice in a   warm, completely pressure-free space.

In my "Fun & Relaxing English Conversation Chat!"  lesson, we can practice small talk
together at a pace that fits you perfectly. Let's finish the year strong!

 Have a wonderful day,
 Samantha A. H
