Living in Sarawak, this season brings a wonderful local twist to traditional celebrations. Our local bakeries and markets showcase an incredible variety of unique mooncake flavours—from savoury layers of Shanghai-style mooncakes to inventive regional creations like yam paste, pandan, and even durian. The anticipation of gathering with family, admiring the full moon, and tasting these distinct local treats provides the perfect boost of enthusiasm during my week.
