Friends Can Become Closer Than Siblings.

Weekly Topic: A person who has inspired me

I was born and raised in Japan. Although I have brothers and sisters, I never got close to them for some reason. Growing up, I always felt empty that I was seeking somebody that I could be goofy with. 

I went to Missouri, America to study and I met a guy there. He is not Japanese. He is white. He has blue eyes. He is different. You would think that we wouldn't become as close as you think because of the cultural differences. But he has become my best friend, and now I call him my brother. He is the person who doesn't speak much. But he has been there for me when I go through the hard times. The way he cares for people has inspired me a ton and that showed me that even if you don't understand each other's culture well, the love in action is universal. He is beyond my biological siblings. And he has been my English teacher as well, and now I am his Japanese teacher. haha
