October is my favorite month of the year because Halloween is my favorite celebration!

Angie T

Back in October 2024, I visited Tokyo for the first time to celebrate my first Halloween in Japan.

My plan was simple: go to Shibuya, put on a cosplay of my favorite anime character, and enjoy Halloween!

I don't actually watch a lot of anime, but I absolutely love Tokyo Revengers, so of course I wanted to show off my cosplay. ??

I saw so many fun and creative costumes that night! And I was especially happy to see that some other people were also dressed as Tokyo Revengers characters. It was so much fun seeing everyone walking around in their costumes.

This year, I really want to celebrate Halloween again!

But Halloween in Japan feels a little different from Halloween in the United States or Colombia. There are Halloween events and people definitely dress up, but it isn't quite the same kind of celebration I grew up with.

So now I'm looking for ideas! ??

How do you celebrate Halloween?
