Hoping never to be seen
in shades of brown against the green
and yellow leaves mixed in with brown
a furry face is pointing down
watching both my dog and me
Not a leaf and not a tree
Hoping never to be found
Not in the air or on the ground
Who was once a moving blur
now stays still and does not stir
Mother Nature’s brown collage
Striped artistry in camouflage
