It's that time of year again, and everyone is studying for the Eiken test. One thing you can do to prepare on your own however, especially those of you taking the Grade 1 Eiken, is be aware of common issues in Japan at the moment. Make sure to read the newspaper or watch the news on TV. Next, make arguments for or against these issues, or learn how to state your own opinion regarding these issues. Even talking about it with yourself will help, since you will discover vocabulary words that you don't know. When you are practicing your arguments, don't forget to speak out loud!
